  14.  INSTALLATION
  15.  
  16.       The installation program will copy all of the files for WordJournal
  17.       to your hard drive into the sub directory you specify. If the sub
  18.       directory doesn't exist, it will be created. After installation you
  19.       will be given the option to print the program documentation.

  21.           1.   Insert the installation disk into a floppy drive. Install
  22.                will work from any drive, this example uses drive A.
  23.                Substitute the drive you are using for A:.
  24.  
  25.           2.   From the DOS prompt type the following and press [ENTER]:

  27.                A:INSTALL
  28.  
  29.           3.   Follow the directions on the screen.
  30.  
  31.           Note:
  32.           Installation of WordJournal does not require the install program.
  33.           It is provided for ease of installation. You can install
  34.           WordJournal by copying the files on the distribution disk to
  35.           any subdirectory you wish on your hard drive. Or, if you need,
  36.           WordJournal will run from a floppy disk.

  39.  STARTING THE PROGRAM
  40.  
  41.       If you added the sub directory where you installed WordJournal to the
  42.       DOS search path, you can start WordJournal from any directory. Just
  43.       type WJ at the command line and press [ENTER]:

  45.       C:>WJ  [ENTER]
  46.  
  47.       If the DOS search path does not contain the WordJournal directory,
  48.       then you will need to change to it first:
  49.  
  50.       C:\> CD \WJ
  51.  
  52.       Then start the program:

  54.       C:\WJ> WJ  [ENTER]

  57.   PRINTING THE MANUAL
  58.  
  59.      The user manual for WordJournal is in an ASCII file called WJ.DOC.
  60.      You can print it out on any printer with the DOS Print command.

  63.   REGISTRATION AND BENEFITS
  64.  
  65.      WordJournal is a shareware (try before you buy) program. If you find
  66.      it useful, you are required to send a registration fee to The Software
  67.      Cobbler at the above address.
  68.  
  69.      The basic registration fee is $20 and licenses the use of the software
  70.      on not more than one computer at any one time. The registration fee
  71.      includes: a registered copy of the software that doesn't include the
  72.      opening registration reminder screen or the "Register" menu, a printed
  73.      manual, notification of and discounts on new releases when they are
  74.      available.

  76.      Payment can be made by personal check, money order, VISA, MasterCard or
  77.      American Express.
  78.  
  79.      For $35, a more advanced version is available called WordJournal EX,
  80.      additional features include:
  81.  
  82.           1. Global text search, finds and tags entries with specified
  83.              text.
  84.  
  85.           2. ASCII text file Import and Export
  86.  
  87.           3. Batch printing of entries in a specified date range, all
  88.              entries or tagged entries only. Printing may include entry
  89.              dates, times and comments depending on user specification.
  90.  
  91.      WordJournal can print a registration form for you. Choose
  92.      "Print Form" from the Register menu. The Print Form dialog box will
  93.      also print a pre-addressed envelope. All you will need to do is
  94.      fill out the registration form, fold the paper, tape it, write your
  95.      return address and add a stamp.
  96.  
  97.      The registration form can also be found in the REGISTER.DOC file. It
  98.      can be printed easily from the DOS command prompt as follows:
